U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will go to the de-militarised zone (DMZ) separating North and South Korea on Thursday, in response to U.S. and South Korean officers.
The go to was introduced on Tuesday by South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo throughout a gathering with Harris in Tokyo and was later confirmed by a U.S. official.
Harris is within the area to steer a U.S. presidential delegation to the funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Tuesday.

President Trump visited the DMZ in 2019 and shook fingers with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.
Trump was the primary sitting president to enter North Korea.
