Rainfall of between 6 to 10 inches (15 to 25 centimeters) was reported in a single day, the Nationwide Climate Service mentioned on Twitter. St. Louis recorded greater than 7 inches of rainfall Tuesday morning, surpassing the document of 6.85 inches from Aug. 20, 1915, the climate service mentioned.
