The Federal Reserve has spent greater than a decade shopping for up authorities debt as a part of a post-2008 program to help the financial system, often known as quantitative easing. Now with inflation reaching document highs, these days are over, and a brand new period of quantitative tightening is rising. On this week’s episode, the FT’s markets editor Katie Martin explains how markets anticipate to grapple with the change.
